  Il Buco in Ponsonby serves the best pizza Auckland! Actually better than than pizzas I ate in Italy recently! My favourite is shreded potato on pizza base. Carbs on carbs - bloody strange combo but suprisingly tasty! Expensive tho' at $4 per slice! But you pay for what you get - you could say...

  Al Volo serves authenthic Italian pizzas (been to Italia recently, pretty similar) - simple and tasty! Worth a try if you are tired of so-called "gourmet" pizzas piled with tons of crap! In Symonds St opposite Galbraith's Bar, it's a takeaway but you can eat pizzas at the Corner Bar...
